A tender for works lying between Whitlam Stage 3 and Namarag. Moving power lines and sewer odours will keep the Suburban Land Agency busy.
The 11 kV power line over Whitlam Stage 3 is going to be put underground. The 11 kV relocation is only a small project. Keep in mind, that until overhead power lines have been moved outside the estate project area, construction work cannot begin.
A much bigger project is the 132 kV power line across Molonglo 3 East (the area on the north side of the Molonglo River opposite Coombs), that will be laid underground along William Hovell Drive. Evoenergy (ActewAGL) have published are remarkably technical document on the project (below). Read it if you are game.
It does not seem the estates of Molonglo State 3 East is close to starting just yet.
Molonglo Valley Interceptor Sewer Odour Mitigation Project
Mentioned last week at the Molonglo Valley Community Forum, the Molonglo Valley sewer pipe needs to be tamed. Our odorous friend fits in the landscape of cow paddies but will not improve the block prices for Molonglo 3 East.
